Amazon Ads integration

Secure account connection with visible scope and data freshness.

SellerPilot connects to authorized Amazon advertising accounts through Amazon-hosted OAuth. The current integration discovers available advertising profiles, synchronizes campaign structure and reporting data, and powers deterministic analytics and budget pacing. It does not ask for an Amazon password, publish or sell Amazon data, or represent planned campaign write capabilities as live.

Connection lifecycle

How authorized Amazon advertising data reaches the workspace.

Every stage retains an accountable boundary: customer authorization, provider scope, organization ownership, synchronization status, and calculated output.

  1. 01

    Authorize on Amazon

The customer starts the connection in SellerPilot and completes authorization on an Amazon-hosted screen. SellerPilot does not collect the customer's Amazon username or password.

  2. 02

    Discover permitted profiles

After authorization, SellerPilot requests the advertising profiles available to the connection and records the associated identifiers, marketplaces, regions, and currency context.

  3. 03

    Synchronize campaign structure

Retry-aware jobs retrieve permitted campaign entities and retain their connection, account, profile, and organization ownership. Throttling and provider errors are handled without exposing credentials.

  4. 04

    Process reporting data

Reporting jobs request supported performance data, track asynchronous completion, and persist the data-through date. Metrics are calculated only from completed, scoped evidence.

Data minimization

Use only what the product workflow needs.

SellerPilot processes authorized identifiers, profile and marketplace context, campaign structure, supported reporting metrics, synchronization state, and the minimum operational records required to secure and support the service. Amazon data is kept within the customer-authorized product workflow and is not a source for SellerPilot’s public keyword or competitor research.

SEMrush may support SellerPilot’s own marketing research. It is supplementary business intelligence for this website, not an Amazon Ads data source, not connected to customer account reporting, and not used to enrich or combine customer Amazon data.

01 / Reliability

Asynchronous reporting needs honest status.

Amazon advertising reporting can involve asynchronous jobs, attribution windows, throttling, regional endpoints, and temporary provider errors. SellerPilot tracks queued, running, completed, and failed work rather than treating a request as complete the moment it is submitted. Retry behavior is bounded, and a provider failure does not become a zero-performance claim.

The customer workspace identifies the latest completed synchronization and data-through date. If a report is incomplete, delayed, unavailable, or outside the permitted scope, SellerPilot should show that condition. Calculated summaries depend on successfully synchronized source rows and preserve the selected advertiser profile and reporting window.

  • Retry-aware synchronization jobs
  • Safe provider-error messages
  • Visible data-through timestamps
  • No invented values for missing reports
02 / Access boundary

Read access does not imply permission to change campaigns.

The current integration is used for connection, discovery, synchronization, analytics, and pacing. SellerPilot does not currently present bid, budget, targeting, or campaign changes as live functionality. Wasted-spend review is in development; explainable recommendations and a customer-approved action workflow are planned.

Future write capability would require the appropriate Amazon access, customer-granted scope, role authorization, account and object validation, change limits, rate-limit handling, idempotency, and a confirmed API result. An approved proposal would still not be an executed action until Amazon accepts it. Autonomous optimization is not offered in the current product.

  • Explicit role and organization checks
  • Proposal, approval, attempt, and result kept separate
  • Revocable customer authorization
  • Provider validation remains authoritative

Trademark care

Customer control

The customer chooses whether to authorize, continue, or revoke a connection. SellerPilot never requests Amazon password credentials.

Review before connecting

Know the data path and the product boundary.

Compare the current feature matrix, privacy terms, and security controls before authorizing an account. You can begin with a 15-day trial and revoke the Amazon connection if you decide not to continue.
